Yahoo and Microsoft planning to merged?

I've read this from more than one sources and it's kinda real. I've been asking myself this question, "Why would the Internet market giants need to merge when they are giants?" Then it hit me.. "Are they losing it?" and when I say "losing", I mean it literally. There have been word for quiet sometime already that Microsoft and Yahoo are losing to Google, one of the world's Internet Business Giants. For why they lose to Google is never a mystery really. Google is simply an accomplished business tactician. Let's just say Google knows how to please people, and attract business entities into their side, but this doesn't mean that Yahoo and Microsoft do not, it just means that among the three of them, Google is the best!

The two entities hope that when they merged, they could gain a potential winning power over Google. Seeing current standings, Yahoo currently dominates Asia, the largest continent in the world. If Microsoft merges with Yahoo, then they could gain the upper hand over Google in terms of ranking. The two companies will obviously become the top ranking company worldwide. If this is the case, then you can expect them luring business entities into their side, or so they hope. There are actually many reasons behind the merging other than the one stated above, and most of these are hidden beyond close doors. What Yahoo and Microsoft are up to is still a mystery, but one thing is for sure.. their intention is, no doubt, to dominate the market, and keep Google at bay.

Small Matters that mean a lot

Let's try to understand why the two giants loses to Google. There are actually a lot of reasons, small mistakes that had accumulated and had become a crucial factor for their downfall. Among them is technology. Yahoo and Microsoft has the money to muster the technology, but it seems that they don't know what technology suits them best. Another are the offers.. Yahoo and Microsoft offer goodies for people, but these goodies are actually not out of sincerity, they offer these goodies to make profit, yes, that's their true motive. They are what I can call a cheapskate, you see when you think that their offers are free, it's actually not, or at least not entirely free, and this sucks! Most of their services are also purchasable and expensive, something that most people would not go after. And when it comes to the Search Engine.. the main thing! They have this system where you can pay for a top-ranking position in the search results. This does not bode well for starters, as entities with the most money often wins the war here, it's an unfair fight if you use them for a battleground. This eventually leads small time business entities to look for another place, and Google usually suits them best. And in case you don't know.. most business entities are small time, and all these number goes to Google.

To Yahoo and Microsoft, these are small factors, but these factors actually helped in pushing them into merging.. why merge? The reason is simple.. it's because they can't stand on their own.. in the long run, at least.

Spamming a no-way to earn

Some people think that spamming is a way to earn money, but in reality, this method is the less productive method, not to mention - the dirtiest! There are a number of reasons why spamming is a pitiful and pathetic way of making money. It is useless because, nowadays, people are getting resistant to spam as they become more knowledgeable with computers, and guess what.. we are already in the 21st century! What dummy would think that people are still gonna fall for it? Well, maybe.. still.. it is illegal! Another reason is that, spamming is risky.. you got customers alright, but among them.. the cops!

Email service providers, nowadays, used filtering methods to screen emails, and separate the good ones from the bad ones. A spam email will more likely fall to the bad ones, and consequently, will have a less probability of even get noticed. And assuming you have a good product.. if you use spamming to endorse it, what good quality your product has will be lost! Think of it this way? Who would trust a product contained in spam? First of all, spam is illegal, so this may also mean that your product is illegal!

One more thing I would like to emphasize about spamming is that this lousy method does not target the right people. For instance, you give out spam emails about Viagra, if this spam lands into a healthy young adult, what do you think will happen? Well, congratulations, you got yourself an angry customer who may be spreading the word of how putrid your product is! So, if you really want to earn the best from your product.. spent your money for it.. endorse it the right way even if it's expensive, afterall, your product will speak for itself. Spam as what you think will save you money is gonna cost you a lot. Play by the rules.. this is how successful businesses work. Spamming are for losers!

Phishing for Paypal Accounts

A warning to those who uses Paypal and other payment processors. Never trust your emails ALWAYS! This is the golden rule of the net. Well, actually, this is not something new, but for those who are new to the Internet, take heed if you don't want to cry yourself to the bank as the lowlifes of the net part you with your money.

So, you may wonder what exactly am I talking about here. To make the long story short.. I'm here to warn you that spammers (a.k.a. scammers/lowlifes) are taking advantage of the Internet (emails) to hack into payment processors. For now, they seem to usually target Paypal Accounts since this is the most widely used payment processor.

What exactly do they do?

How do they hack into Paypal Accounts? Normally, Paypal is protected by a Secure Connection called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) so every transaction between the User and Paypal is invisible to outside entities, that of course, includes your passwords, bank information, credit card information, etc. Your account is safe with Paypal so as long as you do not give your Paypal Account to anyone (and I do mean anyone). Paypal is resistant to hackers on itself, but the user is not. Cyber criminals (calling themselves hackers) uses methods to make money the laziest way by spamming your emails with unsolicited emails. Most of these scumbags use robots to deliberately sent email on multiple email accounts, hoping that someone actually reads them. Most of these garbage usually fall into the semi-thrash category of your email (ie. Bulk, Spam, etc.), but sometimes, they land into your Inbox. They usually came to you with a warning, something like "Your paypal account will suspended if you do not log into your Paypal Account or your Paypal Account has been suspended." This email usually comes with a link that is almost identical to the Paypal link, and if you're not careful, you might use their link, which of course sends you directly into a dummy Paypal Account. The dummy site looks exactly like Paypal's site, but in reality, this is not Paypal, you'll know it if you carefully look at the url address, it's not even Paypal's url. All this site does is obtain your information. If you login into this site using your Paypal Account, then you're in big trouble, you have just given them your Paypal Account information. With it, they can now access your true Paypal Account, and of course, make money transfers that cannot be undone.

The technique they use is called Phishing. Yes, they will be fishing for your money. The lowlifes behind these dirty method don't have any regard with your hard-earned cash. All they wanted is to feed their lazy asses, and you don't want them to get your money, or you'll be feeding these pigs.

Any Victims?

A number of users have already fall victim to this method. Personally, I hate people who take advantage of others, moreover, their poop stinks on my email (spam) folder. Let's hope that they get caught soon. By the way, we can speed up the process by reporting them to Anti-Phishing Sites. This should lessen the scums on the net.

AWSurveys Scam

Warning! Do not click on the AWSurveys link unless you wanted to be scammed! That's the warning I would like to impart on both our friends and visitors.

Imagine a survey site that offers $1-$25 per survey/panel group, $1.25 per friend that signs up, $6.00 for just a sign up. Base on market standards, this is too high for an offer, and a new company such as AWSurveys wouldn't survive unless what they are offering are imaginary figures, and that's precisely what they are doing. They attract people for these flashy figures only to scam them later on, and the bad thing is, they always get away with it!

The Scam Strategy

You may wonder what methods do they use to make a monkey out of us? First of all, they trick us with those yellow offers to make them look like ripe bananas. They think that it is enough to make a visitor enthusiastic and refer his friends to the lion's den. Second, they created this dummy company Aclarn Inc. to make them look like a legitimate company, however, if you research the background of the company, this company is actually unregistered, meaning, it is not legitimate on itself. With the dummy company, they would make out delusional stories like they have changed the web, gained 1 million (ghost) survey takers for AWSurveys etc.

Now, with the trap in place, they wait for a victim to fall into their web. Once you're into their web, you're most likely stuck. Of course, you're waiting for your payout and you cannot walk away without claiming it, most especially if you had already put considerable effort on it. However, you would soon wished that you had escaped earlier, because as you are about to reach your payout quota, the spiders behind AWSurveys will come to devour you. What they'll exactly do is that they would make it impossible for you to reach your payout by any means possible. Of course, they would also import ways that would make it look legal, after all, they don't want their dummy company's name tainted (which is unfortunately, already is).

Strike two!

AWSurveys have already spammed many people in the past. But after getting exposed into numerous forums, they decided to make themselves invisible, but now, they have surfaced again and spanned a new web for more victims. Of course, this is expected, and is what a normal arachnid would do if they are hungry.

Victims

Numerous people have already been victimized, including the owner of the infamous AdverCash site. In fact, the people behind AdverCash had made a site exclusively for AWSurveys to warn people about the scam site. You can find it at http://www.awsurveyscam.com.

iBux.ca shutted down!

This is bad news. I have joined ibux.ca and had participated for almost 3 weeks already, and this is what happens.. iBux.ca, one of the certified paying PTC sites have been ordered to shut down due to reasons of copyright infringement. Copyright infringement as what most of us know, is an act where a company uses the name of another without permission, and sadly, ibux.ca belonged to this type of company.

Who would have known that the name iBux was actually a copyright name of ibux.com? Well, due to this unfortunate event, the admin of the site is willing to refund all purchases made from the site, however my hard-earned $1.00 through PTC is certainly lost!

If you open the site right now, what you'll see is an excuse letter for all its members and advertisers. This is a lesson to all of us.. before we join PTC sites, never forget to research if the site is not only paying, but is also legal.

Myster e-mail Closing!

It's sad to see one of the honest paying PTR (Paid to read emails) site go down but this is how trends go. As giant moneymaker sites rose, small ones are being crushed.

Currently, the site is still online, but is not accepting new signups, it is also written on their front page that the site will permanently close after all running ads expire, which is in approximately 6 months.

Why closed?

Myster e-mail is a good site, an honest payer, with good service, and a quick admin support. During its first few months, it gained more and more advertisers, but lately, the number of ads here had decreased dramatically. What's more surprising is that bux.to, one of their advertisers were included in the ban list. It was said that the banned list was based on GPT Boycotts list and basically ruled out the highest paying PTC sites and must have caused Myster e-mail a severe loss of income.

PTC: A way of making money online

I have search for ways of making money online, make good use of my expensive broadband subscription, and I have found one of the best methods.. PTC (short for Paid to Click or Pay to Click). In this kind of business, you get paid for clicking on ads, that's right, simple as that! How does it work? Here, you join a PTC site by registering. After completing the registration process, you have to login and follow the rules of the site. And as far as rules go.. one common rule is always to click on a particular pay to click ad found within the site, this opens a new browser where there is a timer. All you have to do is wait for the timer to reach 0, only then can you be credited with cash or points (depending on the rules of the site).
